Richard Hagerty is a Sundance-nominated filmmaker, director, two-time Shorty Award winner, and 2024 Clio Award–nominated producer based in Los Angeles.
A graduate of The George Washington University School of Business and founder of Richtimes, Richard directs and produces documentaries, films, and national campaigns that merge cultural depth with disciplined execution. He has produced two documentaries for ESPN’s 30 for 30 series and spent two years producing content for the LA2028 Olympic bid team.
For the past decade, he has worked in production at Paramount, overseeing large-scale, multi-platform campaigns. Prior to that, he spent three years in clearance and rights management at Warner Bros., developing deep expertise in archival research, licensing, and intellectual property.
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Richard shares a Southern lineage with George Quaintance. His connection to this project is personal as well as creative.
His work is defined by cinematic ambition, production precision, and a commitment to telling culturally significant stories with clarity and care.
